JD Video & Web Dev

About Me

I have been in the web development, film and event industry field for 5+ years and have over 8 years of general work experience. I currently work at KOBI-TV NBC 5 in Medford, OR as an ENG van operator.

I have extensive experience with Joomla, WordPress and Drupal including setup, management and custom theme building, and sound and video systems including setup, troubleshooting and operation. I am well versed using Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Soundbooth and Encore. I am also well versed with Final Cut Pro and Motion 4. On a personal level, I am confident, well groomed and easy to get along with. I am very self-disciplined and can get the job done in an independent or team oriented environment. If I don't know a subject, or don't know enough about a subject, I spend some time researching the subject and become an expert as quickly as possible. I have always been a very detail oriented person and am quick to notice what others may miss.

I received the opportunity to work as a student intern at the Antioch Unified School District at the age of 17 with the task of rebuilding the district website. I also received the opportunity to work as an intern at Goal Line Studios, owned by John Madden, with the task of working with the stage manager setting up lighting and audio. I have extensive knowledge hand-programming in ASP and PHP with excellent knowledge with HTML and CSS to form well-rounded projects. I have built custom content management systems for specific projects with integrated user levels and administrator approved content. I have worked in live, on-location, and pre-recording environments. I am easily motivated; sometimes I catch myself working into the wee hours of the night with no thought of stopping.
